Himayathul Islam Higher secondary School is an educational institution of Kozhikode, Kerala, India. Founded as an Anglo Arabic School in 1912.It is the first educational institution founded by Muslim community in Kerala. Kathirikkoya Hajee, Bavutti hajee (ex-mayor of Kozhikode) are among the founders. School started with twelve students in a building in front of the court complex of Kozhikode. Now school running at silk street.

                                       Himayathul Islam Higher Secondary school was established in 1912 as an Anglo Arabic school, under the management of indisharul islam committee of the himayathul Islam sabha with the main object promoting and imparting the educational need and upliftment of Muslim community. The school up to third form was recognized by the department in 1912. The sixth form was opened in 1924. Later it was converted into high school.The higher secondary section was started in 2000 with two batches in science and one batch in commerce with computer application.

                      In addition to the Malayalam medium, English medium classes also were started for the Vth std., in June, 2001. Urdu, Arabic and Hindi are taught as second languages. Co-education is followed in school.
